What you're booking

An admission ticket issued through an app, plus access to the Egyptian Collection and the permanent exhibitions. Included is a digital audio tour of the highlights of the Egyptian Collection and a digital city walk covering Berlin Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Holocaust Memorial, the site of the Führerbunker, and Gendarmenmarkt. An hour and a half is allotted. The audio tracks are available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese.

Entrance instead of meeting point

There is no meeting point, because no one is waiting for you: the ticket is in the app, and you go in on your own. The entrance is the visitor entrance of the James-Simon-Galerie on Bodestraße, where the ticket check and cloakroom are also located. Without your own smartphone and without headphones, the offer doesn't work — both are explicitly not included. Keep an eye on your battery: an hour and a half of audio plus the city walk will drain it.

The cancellation policy

Free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. That's better than the simple admission ticket and the Museum Island ticket, both of which are non-refundable, and for some travellers that's the real deciding factor.
